Cass smirked. 'There is a bigger chance of that while I'm still stuck in a bed,' he said softly. 'I have a feeling I won't be much use for anyone in any way before I get well. Then I need to get a new wand, the healers said it wasn't on me when I was brought in,' he said.
He was a bit surprised at Percy's assessment of Morag, though he guessed she had seemed a bit...forceful when he spoke to her. 'I had no intention of taking a job without knowing what it was, I was just naming options,' he said. 'Don't worry, I'll figure it out... with your help,' he added. Not because he wanted to figure this out, he loved his job, but because it was simply necessary to get what he wanted even more.
Maybe the Muggle police needed someone? he thought. He could probably solve a few "mystery cases" that no one could understand and it would almost be the same, at least if he still joined battles. He'd think about it when he wasn't so tired, and when Percy didn't feel so good against him.
'Some of my friends will hate it,' he agreed, especially Montague, he thought, involuntarily frowning at the thought of what his "cousin" would say when all this became public. A man - and a Weasley - he'd probably never speak to him again. Especially not if he really did share the Lestranges' views. 'But all of them won't.' Susan wouldn't, nor Pansy or Harry. He was fairly sure Higgs would mind, Natalie wouldn't. He sighed, it didn't matter anyway, his life was about to drastically change and he found that a part of him looked forward to not hiding behind lies any more.
