Percy had left on Friday morning when Cass had still been asleep. There was work to do and someone would be over to watch him, besides with the way Cass was recuperating, Percy didn't think that he'd wake up any time soon.
The day passed doing unlike the past few Saturdays. For once, he was back in the office, trying to catch up, but thoughts of Cass and how to solve the situation kept intruding. As long as the man was recuperating, they had time, but that wouldn't last forever. He needed to figure out who to ask to investigate. He thought of Ginny, but if something came up, people might accuse her of trying to cover things up, and he didn't want to put her in danger. Maybe McLaggen. Even if he learned something, he might understand the necessity of protecting the office against Umbridge.
The day ended (later than usual) with still no resolution. Even the walk to the Shack didn't help in the least. He made his way through the Shack like he did every night, greeting the personnel on duty. He'd come to know many of them over the weeks and now they let him alone. He entered the room making sure that there was no one else; he didn't think so, since Saturday was his turn, but he'd chosen to be in the office instead. "Hello," he finally said as he locked the door and cast all sorts of spells on it. "Sorry, I'm late. I should have been here this morning, but I was in the office. How are you?"
