'Oh,' Cass said, though in spite of the slight disappointment there was the little part of him that wouldn't let go off hope. Percy had denied things before after all - and he had more of a reason to this time.
When he suggested that he'd leave though, Cass couldn't help but to try to reach out for him, which proved a very bad idea that sent a fresh waive of pain through him making him collapse with a gasp and a groan right back onto the bed.
Once the pain subsided, he looked over at Percy again. 'Ok so moving is a bad idea, how horrible of an idea would it be to ask you to stay?' he asked weakly. 'Look, I know I don't deserve it, and that I'm probably your least favourite person right now, but I'm a selfish Slytherin and I want you to stay anyway.'
He drew a breath. 'And I did hear you. I can't remember what you said, but I do remember hearing you.' He paused for a moment, waiting for the answer, but as if he was almost afraid to hear it, he continued before Percy had a chance to speak - to say no.
'You promised I'd get to explain,' he said, knowing he hardly had the strength to talk too much, but he'd be damned if he didn't take the chance and tried.
