He smiled and nodded when she recognised his home. "Yes, it's far too beautiful." His own wistful sigh about his true home was quickly gone at her question.
He tried not to let a sudden rush of darkness cross his expression at the thought of why he was settling in Hogsmeade. He merely waved it away. "With so much business here, the constant travel back home is so tiring."
He thought for a moment that perhaps she might ask for something, but from her sigh he suspected she was holding back, either out of politeness, or something else. He didn't know, but he just smiled in acceptance. "Very well, then I shall just bring back stories of what I see." Although even now, with Rabastan on his tail, he suspected he'd be seeing things Gabrielle didn't need to know about.
He saw her looking around, and then at the other men whose gaze seemed to now be focussed on his date. At the question, he managed to smirk, chuckling just a little softly. Of course her Veela heritage would make that happen. "Why would it? I mean, you're here with me, after all."
But then he nodded towards his right. "Does it bother you that perhaps that fellow's wife has been making eyes at me as well?" He was grinning, wondering if this was some sort of test, and whether or not he was passing, or failing miserably.
