A piping voice called her name and Pansy turned to see the Superhero and what had to be the Lil' Hero at the door. She excused herself from the guest with whom she was gossiping and went in their direction.
'There you are!' she exclaimed as she neared them. 'I've been wondering who was going to protect us from bad pirates!' She gave them both a happy smile and winked at the Superhero.
Pulling her robes out of the way, she knelt in front of Ben Boot. 'Little Pirate Superhero,' she greeted him. 'Can I have a hug? Because I'm a mummy, and mummies do that, you know. It's written down somewhere....' He had to be the most delightful little gentleman, she thought, deciding immediately that he reminded her of what she thought Harry might have been like when he was young.
She heard a cackle and a 'No' just before she felt something grab her from behind. (More like something fell into her and latched on for balance....) With a smile, she claimed her daughter.
'Mr. Pirate Superhero, I'd like you to meet my little Polly,' she said. Polly, proving to be her mother's daughter, gave Ben a big smile and held up her arms to him, jabbering at him.
Pansy giggled and stood, making sure to keep one hand on Polly so she didn't fall.
'Superhero, I'm so glad you came!' she told Terry.
