She caught his look or at least thought that she did. Whether real or imagined, she couldn't help the blush that came to her cheeks along with the smile.
"Stop getting ideas. Just because everyone else in this town is pregnant means nothing-- I swear it seems that way lately. I'll have you know I haven't been drinking the water," she said and then looked sheepish. "Besides, I'd likely drop it or something once it came out." Though it wasn't to say that she wouldn't be thrilled to have a child of her own. Dora was just naturally nervous about that sort of thing. She was fine with others' children, but one of her own was a scary thought. No matter how cute she imagined them being, with pink hair and perhaps a tail.
She quickly sobered, trying to wipe the sheepish grin from her face before saying, "I feel like we keep saying that, don't we?" she shrugged slightly. "That it can't, but then it does. Granted it could be worse, I suppose. And at least I have you. That's no small consolation, the way I see it."
