Guilian was starting to get back to normality. His encounter with the utterly delightful Gabrielle Delacour was still playing on his mind all these days later, and he hoped to contact her and spend some more time with her.
He'd heard nothing from his family - or were they his ex-family now? He didn't know, but he figured that with no more trust money coming his way, he would need to untie some of his own personal assets to live. Knowing Gabrielle lived in Hogsmeade was just another thing in the favour of moving to that village, so he planned on doing some house hunting.
But then a strange elf appeared, passing on a message from the Lestranges. It seemed that it had come from Rodolphus, but Rabastan had forwarded it on to him, explaining how he could use this as an opportunity to put that darkness to good use, channelling it to rid the world of more muggles.
He thought long and hard about that. He was rather annoyed that muggles seemed to be taking over far too many magical sites. It annoyed him to think they had overrun far too many magical places in Italy. At least they didn't know that the Colosseum really wasn't a ruin, but a fully standing and shining example of magical architecture.
That's when the darkness started to talk to him again. Urging, pleading, begging him to go.
He knew it was only a matter of time before he caved. Running a hand through his hair, he suddenly felt as if all the joy was gone again from the world, as the darkness laughed at him. What choice did he truly have?
