Pansy laughed. 'And you've been pretending to ignore all my hints, acting like you had absolutely no idea what I was talking about,' she told him, pretending to be huffy.
'She better,' Pansy said. 'Though at this point, I'd settle for more words besides No!' she teased.
'No, we can't have her forgetting that, can we?' she said, hugging Polly and kissing her chubby little cheek. 'Can't have her forgetting Mummy, now can we? Or how much Mummy loves her little Polly!'
Hilly appeared with a tray and Pansy took an appreciative sniff. 'Oh, that smells lovely!' she complimented Hilly.
