Millicent allowed Ella to try and read the letter first (her eyes had some difficulty focusing at times, nothing odd about that, right?) but as Pansy wrote something about Ella writing the owl, she frowned and took the letter to read for herself.
She quickly decided it was some misunderstanding, but didn't care enough to straighten it out. Instead she told Ella to go and write an answer, which Ella did, to the best of her abilities. Simply scanning through it, Millicent corrected the most glaring errors and added a greeting before letting Ella send it off.
Dear Pansy,
Mummy says too that I'm a big girl and I get to right this all by my self. Mummy is sleeping, she tired a lot. You mustn't cry about Polly, mummy says prinseses don't cry. And Polly will be little longer and then Ill learn her every thing! She will be pretty prinses when she's older because youre a pretty prinses.
Mummy is gonna add some thing now. Bye!
Millicent here, of course we'll need to see each other, I miss you too. We'll arrange for tea sometime soon.
