She nodded politely, holding back a laugh. In a situation like the one that was sure to arise at Soho Studios, Guilian's 'distraction' was not the one to worry about. Gabrielle left the matter at that.
Her hands clasped together in delight when told of Lucrezia. "She sounds precious, and I wish she were in my classes so that I could meet her!" Italy sounded equally enthralling. "Italy? You did not mention that before. I assume your parents live somewhere spectacular, so... why would you move to Hogsmeade? You are so very lucky!" Deciding to be fair, Gabrielle injected her own reason. "Me, I just wanted to be away from my parents. I am not a baby!" The way she crossed her arms, though, along with the childish scowl on her face, perhaps suggested otherwise.
Gabrielle Delacour was bright, but never claimed to be the smartest person she knew. Hearing Guilian simply speak of his occupation made her feel all the more that she needed his help. If she did not even understand what he did for a living, how could she secure a contract without him? It pained her to believe that people would take advantage of her as he said they would. "I did not know it could be that bad," the blonde answered, easily convinced.
She raised her eyebrows, noting the mischief in Guilian's expression. "Not sure," Gabrielle returned the look. "Do contract negotiators often include dates in the fine print?"
