Rodolphus saw his wife's keen mind as it went to work. What evil and nastiness was his wife plotting?
Her suggestion made him lick his lips, his thumb tapping at his temple as he liked the idea. Scaring them senseless first was always entertaining, and if it meant that the muggles were running around blindly after a mere show of magic, then the aurors would be too busy doing crowd control and obliviating.
"I'm sure they'll all be expecting something... magical to happen in such a place. What a pity the full moon isn't the same night - we could have asked Fenrir and his pack to have a little early morning fun."
He thought for a moment about telling the vampires. They would certainly be able to have plenty to feast on, but when the sun came up, they would be useless, and shelter from the sunlight on the Salisbury plains was non existent.
"Oh I think the Muggle papers will have plenty of aftermath to sift through." Another little laugh escaped his lips. "I'm sure Rab and Lisa will be back from France in time to join us as well - they'd hate to miss out on such a party.
"So do we start with sparkly lights and levitation, then go to the virgin sacrifices just as the sun breaks across the horizon?" So many possibilities for scaring the muggles witless. "Or do you have something more intimidating in mind, my love?" Bella's ideas could be even more bloodthirsty, yet in this instance, much more satisfying.
"We should invite our best and brightest to join us for the sport. No doubt one or two aurors will want to resist," he said in an offhanded manner. "We should be able to dispense with them quickly enough - they should be busy looking after their pet Muggles." The idea of pets suddenly intrigued him, and he knew the smirk on his face would not be going soon.
