"Of course you may watch, dear lady." Antonin gestured to the bar nearest the table. Several tall, comfortable chairs were unoccupied. "Why not take a seat at the bar here, where you will be close enough to watch the game, but not close enough that anyone could accuse you of seeing anyone's cards. Gambling manners, don't you know."
He smiled and nodded to the players at the table, who were apparently taking a bit of a break in the action for drinks. "I'll play here for a bit, until Gabrielle comes back, or until you get tired of watching and want to do something else."
He made a small sign to a pit boss, who came over to Antonin. "One hundred, please," Antonin told the man, and signed a marker as he collected his chips. "I've played against two of these men before," Antonin said to Morag. "All of us traditionalists who like the older forms of poker rather than the more trendy Texas style."
