He was merely going through the motions as he sat back down, but hearing that his owl had not arrived, he raised a concerned eyebrow.
"Yes, of course I used an owl," he said, wondering just how else he should have delivered it. "I wasn't aware of you wanting me to bring it by personally."
Now he was a little curious. "Well the list is complete," he replied without saying too much. They were, after all, still in a very public place. "I took quite a while because our friend knew he was being hunted down. He was quite slippery." He didn't mention anything else, not about how he wanted to think of a grand scenario that would allow him to use all sorts of dark spells on his quarry, but in the end he just did the job quickly, and with no fuss.
