Hestia began to nod slowly, swallowing thickly. "Of course, there are more wards then-" she had to stop, take a breath; many had been put up by Kingsley and thinking about it- remembering him as he helped, watching- she had to close her eyes for a moment and take a long breath; she hated this. She was never very good at losing people- and after so many...one would think they were used to it by now, but it only seemed to get harder.
Cheeks sinking in as she let out the harsh breath she nodded again, almost resolutely, forcing herself to be 'okay'. "Yes, this place is sealed, even more so upstairs in my flat- but it doesn't change the fact that I don't trust the fat toad." Her jaw clenched, eyes glancing down the hall, as if expecting to see some spy just waiting to dart their head back in, hiding.
As she turned to look back at him, however, his hand was on her shoulder and she jolted slightly, the touch surprising and unexpected. Her heart beating rapidly, Hestia felt a shudder run down her back and sucked in a breath moving to smile up at him, almost apologetically. She didn't mean to jerk like such- she just wasn't quite used to...touch still.
The smile was a little easier, a little less lined when he laughed lightly; she liked the sound of his deep laugh, it was almost soothing. "Company would be nice. I don't think you've met my wards, Jacob and Georgiana- they are the regulars here- but they've gone off for tonight, Jacob will more then likely be back before dinner is done, but I don't expect Georgiana for quite some time." Though she was going to start asking them to be home earlier now- what with the decree- she didn't trust people, Umbridge... not even the Aurors, not with Kingsley gone...
