They were both running high on emotion and it currently seemed as if neither one was ready to back down. Then again, this was the most emotion Remus had managed to get out of his wife in the past few months and he was wondering if egging her on wasn't a better solution as opposed to just letting her wallow and stew.
"You have distanced yourself from your family," Remus replied. "Thus, they no longer are part of this conversation. They've disowned you, you've disowned them. Consequently, they don't figure into your argument." Remus crossed his arms in front of his chest and rose off the bed, moving to take one of the bags away, unpacking it as she tossed things into it.
"Dora, if I don't do this, we have a bigger chance of something happening to us as opposed to if I run away with you. I run away and I get captured, that's it. We will be separated. There is nothing in the decree that says she's splitting up families of Dark Creatures. Consequently, it does no good to worry. And I swear to you, if she even tries separating us, then we'll go away together. But not before."
