Dora's heart nearly jumped out of her mouth when she heard Remus' voice. She was jumpy and he'd startled her, even though he'd heard the footsteps coming up the stairs. She dropped the clothing in her hands onto the bed and turned around quickly. "Remus!" She pushed brown hair behind her ears as she stared across the room at him.
"It's not just me." Dora would have crossed the room to greet him, but her mind was scattered. She turned back around and her frantic packing began again. "We're going... maybe. We're going to have to. You've seen the decree; we can't stay here." She threw a pair of jeans in the bag, not bothering to fold them.
