At his response she turned her head to look at him with a raised brow. Hadn't he complained when she'd told his father that he wasn't there that once? That apparently that meant they had to get married (though ironically he had asked her, the thought still amused her), and it was just all wrong? Wouldn't moving there be even worse?
She was about to say as much when he nearly jolted up, surprising her so much so she reeled back slightly, mouth a gap to look at him. For a moment after his words she just stared blankly, as if not understanding.... And then, a laugh and a heavier laugh her hands moving to cover her face, pulling her legs up to a bent position on the bed.
"Oh- oh." She was muttering through her laughter and then something akin to crying as she began to shake her head, pulling her hands down to just cover her mouth, eyes staring at him in teary wonder. "I am- aren't I?" She moved one hand to touch his bare arm while the other stayed over her mouth. "No- one," she paused, her eyes glisten brightly, "I don't but I can't," she licked her lips, removing her hand from her face to cross over her waist. "I won't be able to go out much though- if someone..." She didn't care, how was Umbridge going to find out some obscure woman wasn't actually dead?
