Dennis was in a surprising jovial mood after leaving Orla's. There was definitely something intoxicating in that synthetic blood she'd been brewing, and he was feeling rather happy.
It was a bit of a high he didn't mind being on. As he headed out of town, he noticed that a new notice had gone up since he'd arrived. That was odd - for notices to go up at such a late hour. It wasn't called the dead of night for nothing.
But when he went over to the noticeboard, he read it, and he just couldn't help himself laughing.
Oh this was the funniest thing he'd read in a very long time. Sweet Merlin, the woman was deluded. "Why yes, of course we'll all come and line up to register, and you can thank us all and let us be on our way. I think NOT!"
Tearing away the notice, he just laughed and laughed. "Sure, we'll all come and visit and do our registering during office hours. Ten to five." With summer, that was an impossibility even if any vampire he knew was stupid enough to actually want to do this.
"Oh this is just priceless." He was still laughing so hard, his sides hurt, but he stuffed the decree in his pocket, and started to run. He had to get home before the dawn, and this would give everyone back at the lair something to laugh at.
Perhaps he would keep Umbridge around if she was going to be so very, very entertaining.
