He managed a smirk as she made an obvious show of hiding her neck. "You know, there are other veins that are just as much fun to sink your teeth into," he teased.
"Well it's good to know you're at least trying to save them with something that won't put me off my food if I try to snack on one of your former patients," he added with a drawl. "And yes, fresh is best." He gave her a more considered look, seeing her somewhat in her element as she worked like this. He knew she'd always been dedicated to her work, but for once she wasn't as snarky as he was used to seeing. Perhaps he was just mellow, or drunk on the damn blood she'd just fed him.
"Just for the record, it's a little... intoxicating." He managed to burp, just to add to the effect. "Oh, pardon me."
"Sure I stared," he smirked. "You were passibly looking than McGonagall or Sprout."
"Squirrelly?" he said, raising an eyebrow as he had to step away from the cauldron. It was getting a little too much if he stayed too close. "I was cute, and you know it." Although, to some, squirrels were cute.
