He was surprised by the sudden vehemence in Cass' words, and the fact he was immediately on the defensive. He let him rant for a moment, not denying the fact he was seeing Percy, and giving him the most shocking look he'd ever seen on his face.
He held his hands up defensively, not wanting to argue about that for now. He had a fuckload more that was sure to put Cass in an even better mood.
But he let the news sink in about his mother, and saw his friend suddenly... deflate. When he started to talk about Italy he started to shake his head. "No, not Emilia. Your mother."
He let that sink in. "Were you ever planning on telling your friends you weren't being totally honest with us, Cass?" He was hurt that he'd been lied to all these years. Lied to and Cass couldn't really say he didn't know, not if he'd been going to such lengths to hide the woman all these years.
"I don't know how they got her, or what, but Lestrange wants you to spy on Weasley, and the Aurors. He wants to know everything - attack plans, auror schedules, the lot."
