Padma closed her eyes as he kissed her, her hand trailing down her arm.
Her eyebrow was still raised in curiosity at the mention of his work, but when he explained further, she let her mouth open just slightly. In their time together, Theo had been fighting hard to keep her out of all his business dealings, especially those to do with his part in the war.
And to be perfectly honest, Padma wanted nothing to do with this work. But she remembered Jillian Dorny, and was already reading over the letter. She'd barely had more than one or two conversations with Dorny in the few years they shared the same common room at school, but the tone of the letter was such that they seemed like they had been long lost friends.
"I know you don't want me getting involved with your work - especially this work, Theo," she said quietly, but well, Jillian had been the one to put her in this position.
"Are you sure about this?" She gave Theo a long look. She hated seeing him torn by the work he did with his spying. "I mean, I'm happy to do it, but know how you feel about us getting involved any further."
