RP: Breaks and the outdoors Date: May 7th, 2006 Characters: Orla Quirke and OPEN Location: The streets of Hogsmeade Private/Public: Public Rating: tbd Warnings: tbd Summary: Tired of making her home look acceptable, Orla heads out for a walk. Come walk with her! "The nerve of this woman," Orla muttered to herself as she bustled around her basement. She was, of course, talking and thinking about Dolres Umbridge, the number one bane in her life for the moment. The thorn in her side, one might say. Any thing or person that made her clean in the way she was now deserved to have their eyes gouged out, Orla thought, and she would have been plenty happy to be the one to do it.
When she finally did emerge from the cavern that was her basement it was only because she'd found herself out of cauldron cleaner. The proper sort. The kind that didn't eat away at the metal after years of use. Orla knew there was some in the cupboard above the smaller cauldron in the kitchen, but once she reached the room she could very easily see out of her kitchen's large bay windows. She'd never been a particularly sentimental being, but looking outside made her realize that for once, ridding her cauldron of Polyjuice Potion remnants could wait at least thirty minutes.
After all, what was Umbridge going to do? Break into her home while she wasn't there do to an inspection? Orla had wards to prevent against that, and she simply dared anyone who had that sort of gall to try. They'd deserve all the boils they got for it.
It wasn't long before she'd grabbed her light traveling cloak and her wand, intent on setting off on a brisk walk through Hogsmeade. She left her home and quickly walked towards the main street. She had every intention of staying away from the Shack (it was her day off) but she needed a break from the cleaning.
