He watched her expression move from seductive to blank and cold. She did not show any emotions, and in that, in the lack of charm, in the businesslike cool of her, he wondered about the easiness with which he moved her emotions. Was she as clever as he'd through she was? Or should he simply sidestep her and leave her be?
He pondered the question as he leaned back, watching her, pondering if he could get away with Legilimancy or if he was still too clumsy so that she'd notice. He realised it was most likely so and dropped the notion - for now.
'I was thinking a business arrangement could be made, one that would benefit us both,' he said calmly. 'I am not sure if you are up to the job, however,' he said frankly, wondering what her reactions would be to such a statement. 'Maybe I overestimated someone who could move in and - if ever so temporarily - make my contacts move away from me.'
