Padma put out her hand to get a good look at Daphne's ring. It was... unusual, but it suited Daphne, and she seemed to have a glow about her and well, if her friend was happy, then that's all that mattered. "It's a lovely ring."
She chuckled slightly. "You know, not to say anything against my two wedding ceremonies, but I am just slightly envious." Organising her weddings had seemed like a distant memory, but a simple elopement sounded almost as wonderful as her proper binding ceremony into the Nott family.
The talk of running away, and her parents, it did put a smile on Padma's face. "Well I'm very pleased he makes you happy." Of course no woman should get remarried publicly the second time around, not even a widow, so it didn't surprise her that Daphne did things very quietly.
"You never did say how you met Miles," Padma was rather curious, as it still seemed so sudden. "And he's good to little Nigel?" she asked. "His son seems a bright enough boy."
When the topic turned to Miles and Theo, Padma was going to ask the same question herself. "You know, Theo is not very forthcoming about any details on that. He has... strong words... to say about him."
"I can only guess something happened at school. You shared the same common room as them - you didn't hear of anything?" Padma had to admit her curiosity about it was rather high, although she gathered some brutish bullying could have been involved. Silly, really, to still hold such a grudge now.
