A part of him didn’t want to go, but he knew that his mother could keep an eye on Verity, and that she really didn’t actually need anyone too (he was just over paranoid or something); but he’d missed Miles… Terence and Cass. He’d decided that there was no better feeling in the world, and though he knew Terence and his cousin would probably fail to understand or even feel the same sort of enthusiasm, they would congratulate him; and that Miles would be able to relate somewhat (even if 6 years late in his case).
When he’d been lead to the drawing room he was the first, and grabbed a drink, grinning out the corner of his mouth, awaiting others arrivals.
