Natalie did as Cass told her, sitting down on the broom, grinning as she realised she felt even more comfortable on this broom than she did on Cass's.
"Feels great," she said, pulling herself off and taking the broom in her hand.
She walked out of the shop a little nervous that this would be her first flight without Cass, but she licked her lips and settled her weight down on the broom, pulling it up just a little so that it rose higher in the air. She leaned forward at the same time, urging the broom forward. There was a slight kick as the broom went from almost no speed at all to rather a bit of speed, but Natalie grinned, her nervousness soon gone.
She moved a bit more quickly than she had when she'd been with Cass, and she figured the lack of his body weight had a bit to do with that. At the end of the street, she pulled herself up a bit and slowed down as she turned, gradually picking up speed as she headed back to the shop.
She slowed slightly as she got closer and began her descent, concentrating on the ground and the top of the broom, not wanting to make too hard a landing. Her feet hit the ground with a skid, but she managed to stay upright, pulling herself off the broom after a moment.
She grinned at the two men in front of her, her cheeks red from both the wind and excitement.
