"Bloody good to hear that, mate." Miles saw that there was some wear and tear on the handle, and that the twigs were, for the most part, still keeping their shape. "And she'll give you a bit more if you got off your lazy arse and did some proper broom maintenance on it once and a while."
"When was the last time you stocked up on broom maintenance supplies?" he asked, seriously. "She could use a good rubdown. And I'm talking about the broom, not Natalie." He winked back in her direction.
He remembered now they were supposed to be there to help Natalie get fitted for a broom and he turned back, sizing her up with his gaze.
"So Cass tells me you're a natural. What broom have you flown before?" He was getting an idea of what sort of broom she would need. Possibly something more than the very domestic model that he'd been making for Daphne and Pansy. Somehow, he thought Natalie might not mind a bit of mud on her robes, unlike Pansy.
He tried not to think of a fleeting thought of Natalie mud wrestling with Pansy, as he tried to stay focussed. "I take it you want something that is serviceable, but not too flashy?"
