Miles flicked his eyes from Natalie, to Cass, back to Natalie, shaking his head. He flipped a thumb in Cass' direction. "He's really much more trouble than he's worth, you know. Always running off, putting his life in danger with bad guys every day. Choosing that over the life of a simple broom maker." He clutched at his chest in a dramatic turn, but then chuckled.
"Hello, I should apologise for the last time we met. I should know better than to talk with people when Liam's already got me needing coffee at whatever that ridiculous hour of the morning is." He figured he might have come on a little strongly that day in Honeydukes.
"I really don't bite, unless asked." Now his grin matched Cass' but he actually saw the broom Cass had laid against the wall. "Merlin, mate, you been into the Antique cupboard. Is that what I think it is?" He came over and took a closer look at it.
It was years old (well, a few). He remembered every broom he had made, and he ran a hand reverently over the handle. "How's it been treating you?" All pretences were over as he was now seriously onto the broom business.
