Susan nodded. "Oh, you're right. I guess I just don't have anything to hide, well, not any more." She smiled a little at him. "I shouldn't have to be vigilant about things that really aren't important though. I would rather just have an enemy on one front not two." She was resigned to this now, even if she didn't have to like it.
She felt relief at the small gesture of support, and smiled sweetly. "You're right."
At the mention of how much she backed, she managed to look a little sheepish. "Well, there's those tins there, and there's muffins in that one, biscuits in those two, an apple tea cake there and two banana loaves."
"Please, take some home - I won't eat all this in a month."
