NOTICE: To all Upper Slaughter residents Date: 26 April 2006 Characters: The Lestranges, any residents of Upper Slaughter/Death Eaters who want to respond Location: Upper Slaughter Private/Public: Private Rating: PG Warnings: - Summary: The Lestrange family informs the town residents of a few changes.
Notice: Delivered to all residents and homeowners in (Upper Slaughter)
The unprovoked attack on our homes has left our humble sanctuary in disarray. Those who seek to destroy our lives and our families now know of our general whereabouts, and even a week after they attack, they still come to finish us off. Wizards who wish to blame us for their struggles stand in our fields and randomly attack us, making a poor effort to lay us to siege. They are naught but an annoyance, yet they still throw their muggle influenced weapons at us - unprovoked - and leave us at their mercy.
This is unacceptable, and if we remain here in the short term, then we will have nothing left of our homes when this war is over. (Upper Slaughter) will not be abandoned. This village has been here since Norman times, and it is our sanctuary.
But for the sake of its long term survival, it is highly recommended that we relocate, and allow our enemies to think we have abandoned the town. They have already destroyed a church of historical significance. It will be rebuilt, just as the rest of the town will be rebuilt.
Scattering will force our opponents away.
You are all entrusted with the mission to find a new safe haven for our allies for the remainder of this war. Search every possible village in the UK, and consider every possible location. If you find Aurors or the Order on your tail, encourage them to follow, and allow them to think your destination will be a suitable home.
In the meantime, the Lestrange family will work to find a new true base of operations. (Upper Slaughter) will remain open as a central rallying point, as the Fidelius shall not be removed. A spell will be cast on the entrance to Lestrange Manor that will allow you to seek audience with us should the need arise. The town's vampire colony shall be charged with keeping out any nocturnal visitors, and werewolves are welcome to use this as their base at the full moon.
We seek this drastic move only to make our homes safe for the future, and to have our village returned to us intact when the conflict has ended.
