Dennis tried not to watch her rub her neck, even as he was already feeling pangs of hunger. She was a tease, and had he not been under oath not to feed from townsfolk without consent, he would have already had his fangs in her throat.
At her refusal and alternate suggestion, he laughed. "Oh well, you know, I'm still capable of a shag, you know - and vampires are just so much better at it than humans." He gave her a cheeky wink, and a laugh.
"Oh so you aren't going to come back and annoy me?" he pouted. "I won't be able to come and visit you in Hogsmeade. People there seem to think I'm this dangerous creature." He shook his head.
He heard the muttered words, his sharper hearing picking them up. He didn't call her on them, however, but just wondering who would be in need of a midwife. He could think of two people - the Lestrange women - and that was a very interesting tidbit if it were true. He would have to investigate more.
"Although it really would be rude of me not to say hello if I was in town, wouldn't it?" He wasn't going to let her think he would give up, and if it meant she was on the lookout for him, then it would be ever so much fun. He did like messing with people's heads.
