He smiled at her assessment of Percy, quite sure she was right, though he didn't say so. When she started to talk of Umbridge however he frowned.
'You're exaggerating, I'm sure. So is Percy. He's worked too hard to get himself to this position to let anything risk it. He'll manage to work with her I'm sure of it. If not I'll bang him over the head until he is because the department would be lost without him.' He truly did believe that. And still had that in his mind when she went on, surprising him enough to let him actually think before answering.
'Not that I know what you would want with my skills, I would still consider taking you up on that - if it wasn't for the fact that it would mean working your husband,' he said honestly. 'Not only do I have a firm principle of not socialising with people who thought my grandfather was a nice enough man to spend time with, but after he more or less accused Percy of taking bribes I wouldn't see it as advisable for me to go near him,' he said. There was no anger in his voice, just honesty. He didn't mind Morag at all, actually liked her - or at least her concern for Percy. Dolohov however was one of the very few people he wouldn't mind hexing on sight.
