Cass watched them leave before turning back to Susan, sighing as he thought of where to start. 'Not that I noticed,' he said, biting his lip. 'But make sure to check it all the same.'
He looked over the crime scene. 'Damn, she made a mess of it,' he said, more to himself than to Susan. Fuck she should have known... Well there wasn't much to do about that now.
'I'll see what I can get evidence wise,' he said with a frown, trying to think of what wasn't sitting right with him. 'Then we'll need to send the body to the morgue for examination.'
Shaking it off he went to work. Speculation, gut feelings, assumptions, it was all worthless without evidence.
