Cass hated working these days. He hated going to the office, pretending not to be as close to Percy as he was, when all he really wanted to do was to take Percy away from it all. At least for a few days, a week, anything to just let them both rest and to assure Percy that he wasn't going anywhere.
That of course was not an option. Not working was not an option. Not only because of what they'd lost, but because Percy refused to hear any talk of vacation. If anything he worked harder than ever.
Which was why Cass, himself, was working harder than ever. If it was the only way to be truly close to Percy during the day, then that was what he'd do. Which was why Cass was in the office as a wolf patronus came and vanished, leaving more people surprised and wondering than giving answers. He had heard enough, however, to know that someone had been murdered, and that someone needed help. He also recognised the voice, if faint, and was out of the door before anyone else.
Having picked up the habit of flying to work, he flew now too, first towards Hogwarts only to realise he had no clue where to start. Pondering what he'd heard of the message he decided to give Andromeda's home a try, it seemed most logical.
