Faustus scowled again and looked around, anywhere but at Ben. "Because he had to. He was a spy for the Order of the Phoenix. He was pretending to be a Death Eater so he could get to Professor Dumbledore and then Professor McGonagall. He was really good at it too. He did it for years."
He stared at the ground for a moment. "I'm glad he's stopped," he said quietly.
He gave a small smile at Ben's enthusiasm and hoped he would remember to read the books again, especially the first one. Maybe if he concentrated hard enough he could make the Room of Requirement look like Hobbiton on Bilbo's 111th birthday.
He gave Ben a blank look when he suddenly giggled then saw the basket in his hand. "Oh. I guess I got distracted by Titchy being there," he said with chagrin. He was tempted to stay here and eat but he knew if he did, he think of excuses to stay here. "Maybe we should go to your Dad's rooms," he said reluctantly, knowing he was going to have to face the music eventually. Maybe he could hide in Ben's tree house...
