"Maybe he will though it gets kind of scary in parts," Faustus replied. "Of course I'll come to your party. When is your birthday 'cause it's my birthday soon too. It was Dad's birthday about a week ago. He didn't have a party. He was a little grouchy actually though he liked the present I got him."
Uncle Draco had helped with that but in the end it had been his choice... and Dad had liked what he'd chosen.
He blinked a little when Ben said his Dad was funny, wondering if they were talking about the same person, then Ben imitated Dad's robes when he was walking quickly and he realised that they were. He gave Ben a strange look then realised that Ben just didn't seem to see beyond what he wanted to see. That would probably change when he got older. He was only five, nearly six, after all.
"Yeah, Dad likes looking impressive," he said soberly then he quickly changed the subject. He didn't really want to talk about his Dad. "This castle is supposed to be really strange so you never know," he said with a grin.
He watched with interest as Ben walked three times past an old door and suddenly realised where they were. Harry and Dad had told him about this place. It had to be the Room of Requirement. He'd been planning on searching for it since they hadn't told him precisely where it was. Maybe it really would be the closest thing they could get to Narnia.
He walked through the door and smiled broadly. It looked just like the books said it should be. "Wow!" he said, his eyes bright with excitement. "It's just how it should be. It really is Narnia." He started walking forward, sure that he was going to meet Mr Tumnus at any minute.
