Susan had been running late and had only just arrived at the office when Kornell came in. He looked pale and ill and was babbling about heads on pikes and the village that was destroyed.
She took a portkey, and told Kornell to rouse the others. The stench struck her nostrils in the instant before she landed with the portkey. There was still smoke burning as heat rose from what was once a harmless village.
She was lucky she hadn't eaten any breakfast, as already her stomach churned at what she saw. Spotting Cass, she headed over to where he stood. Looking up, she saw the young girls strung up and chanting, and she tried to silence them with a spell.
"Sweet Merlin..." she said, where in the hell do we start?" Hands on hips, her head just shook as she scowled. "I'd like to string every last bloody death eater up for this."
