RP: A Meeting and an Arrangement
Date: April 9, 2006 Characters: Terry Boot (mentions of Percy Weasley) Location: Auror Headquarters Private/Public: Private Rating: PG Warnings: None for now Summary: Terry takes a meeting with Percy, and informs him of the plan to attack Upper Slaughter.
The meeting with Percy had gone well. They'd layered privacy charms on top of privacy charms until they'd both been satisfied. And then he'd spent a good half hour explaining Stephen's plan, how the Charms on the rune stones would work. Percy had many questions, and Terry had answered them as best he could.
Percy had asked what Terry needed from the Aurors, rightly guessing that Terry hadn't told him all this information for the hell of it.
Terry hadn't answered for a minute. Then he'd said simply, "Manpower."
That had been enough for Percy to realize where this was going, and though Terry was sure he wasn't at all pleased with the thought of working with the Aurors. But Percy was an intelligent man, especially for a Gryffindor Terry thought, and he could see the benefit in the two factions working together.
Terry had explained the idea of the attack, and it was agreed that there would be a meeting this weekend, at Hogwarts. It would be a secret meeting, and a Wizard's Oath would need to be taken by all attendees before the meeting began. Anyone who didn't take it would be asked to leave, no exceptions. That had been Percy's idea actually, as Terry hadn't really thought anyone would betray them. Percy was also paranoid, another unusual trait for a Gryffindor Terry thought, but in this case it would work to their advantage.
They'd talked awhile longer, until Percy was satisfied he had enough information, and then Terry quietly took his leave. It was time to get Ben and forget about impending doom for awhile. They'd go visit Ernie at the shop, and just be normal for the night.
