There seemed to be something bothering her, and even if he seemed to have lost most of his intelligence in one stroke he was enough of an Auror to notice the expression on her face and the way she reached for something that was obviously not there.
'Drop something?' he asked, realising that it was easier to focus if he had something to focus on, whether it was a kitten or a clue that something was off. The realisation was quickly lost though, as she asked him if he was having troubles, a slight flush reaching his cheeks. 'Erm, I usually am a bit - a lot - more eloquent and very less babbling than this,' he said, surprised by his own honesty. Why was he admitting to such a thing?
He couldn't help but to straighten up a bit when she said his name sounded noble, even if his mother had said the same for years. 'I usually just prefer Cass,' he said, though he realised he wouldn't mind her saying Cassius. This was strange indeed.
'Erm,' he looked down, glad for the distraction. 'This little one is little one for now,' he said with a smirk. 'She doesn't have a name yet. She's a surprise for a friend of mine, I thought I'd let her name her.'
