Although he'd been back at Hogwarts since Friday--he'd needed to attend the Order meeting--he still wasn't nearly caught up with work. He'd managed to do a bit of research and planning while at Ernie's, but most of the time had been spent recuperating. Even though his fever had dissipated quickly, the aches in his joints and the pox-marks had taken a long time to fade, and he'd tired easily. He couldn't bring himself to regret, either, the time spent lazing with Ernie in bed, the slow, easy walks they'd taken with Ben and Bob around the estate. Nor would he ever regret making Ben his primary focus for the past two weeks.
However, he was unable to ignore his duties any longer. His students needed to be caught up in time for OWL's, NEWTs and end of year exams. Time was also of an essence with the work he was doing for Stephen and Severus. He'd done all he could with research, now it was time to act once more. He needed access to Adrian's estates a few more times, but he was certain he was as close as he would ever be to perfecting the spell and it would be enough, he thought, to really damage the wards around the Fidelius. He wanted to speak with Severus and Stephen, talk to them about informing the Aurors and the Order of the plans. They would need experienced fliers, experienced duelists as well, if this was going to work. If they timed this right, the spells could have even more of an impact on the Lestranges and their followers. It could be a real turning point.
He scribbled a few more notes in his book, and then put it aside. His eyes were burning and when he looked at the clock he realized it had been hours since he'd put Ben to bed. It was time for sleep himself, he thought, there was no need to exhaust himself and have a set-back. He jotted a quick note to Ernie, who had also returned to Hogsmeade, asking if he could look after Ben tomorrow afternoon, and then they could maybe have dinner together. He sent the note off with his owl, and by the time he'd readied for bed, Ernie had sent an affirmative reply. Terry smiled softly, and went to bed eager for tomorrow, when work was done and he could just be with Ernie and Ben. He had more reason now than ever to want the war over with, and hopefully Stephen's plan would be a good way to get there.
