Though her lips pursed slightly in a way which she was sure mirrored her mother's, Dora prevented herself from saying anything which would have her kicked out of the office immediately. "I'll be the first to admit that I've stretched myself way too thin over the past months. There's no denying that, but this is my job, Percy."
She ran her fingers through her hair before settling her hands back into her lap. "I don't plan to come as go as I please anymore, as you've chosen to put it. I'll point out that I've always been here, it's not as if I left, but I've not been called to anything down here at all, you know," she said, hoping that she'd kept her voice as a respectful tone. Somewhere in the back of her mind, Dora was reminding herself that it didn't matter that Percy was younger than her.
"I want to come back to work. I'm serious about it." Dora figured it was best not to pussyfoot around things. "And in talking to Cass, well... I think you need my abilities. I can spy, you know. I'm more than decent at it and..." She trailed off a moment, screwing up her face and completely shifting her features until they matched those of her Aunt Bella. It wasn't a face she particularly liked taking on, but she was trying to prove a point.
"I'm good at what I do," Dora said. "Forget trying to impersonate her. Obviously I'd not go for that, but there are plenty of other options and I could help."
