Summary: Dora realises that she's neglected just about everything Antonin suggested she do and decides to remedy this in private.
Antonin's house elf had very kindly brought the shock mat the older man had lent her up to High Street weeks back. It had been little less than a week later that she'd fallen ill and in that short amount of time she'd had almost no time to actually try out any of the exercises or suggestions he'd suggested to her. Dora felt a bit bad about it given that he'd agreed to spend time on her and all, but being sick she'd simply not been able to do much of anything. She was still surprised to look down and see how much weight she'd actually lost during her week of illness; she was still working on padding herself up again.
Up and walking around now, Dora was ready to try and work a bit on her balance, or lack there of. A week of lying in bed had caused her to rethink a few things and when she actually tripped over the rolled up mat itself as she looked for it, she knew what had to be done.
Dora sighed and carefully picked herself up off of the floor and stepped back over the mat. She quickly left the living room and half ran, half stumbled up the stairs to the room she and Remus shared. Her tattered robe landed on their bed and she shed the thinning t-shirt she'd slept in the night before. This was going to involve going out in public, something she hadn't done much of in the past few weeks, but at this point there was little chance of her catching that disease again, right? Merlin knew she'd had the worst of it already. The shirt she'd just tossed off had plenty of evidence of that on it.
She really did need to get some laundry done. She'd cleaned for the party, yes, but that had only been the first floor. You know, the places the guests would actually see. Her side of she and Remus' room was quite the mess. She pulled a clean shirt over her head and hurriedly looked for a pair of pants that weren’t so obviously for sleeping in.
It didn't take long to sweep her green hair back into a messy pony tail and then bound back down the stairs into the living room. She managed to avoid tripping over the mat this time around, instead pointing her wand at it levitating it into the air. Remus had yet to see her practicing on the thing and because she'd had such awful luck with it (her feet had actually hurt by the time she'd been done with her first go 'round and she'd spent more time on her backside than had to be appropriate) she absolutely refused to let their paths cross while she was using it.
"C'mon, you," she muttered, holding her wand out behind her so that she could float the mat behind her. Dora headed out the front door into the breezy outdoors.
Mat trailing behind her, Dora made a sharp turn up the street and headed towards Hogwarts Castle. I was where she should have had Antonin's elf bring the mat in the first place, for she could admit now that she was far too embarrassed to actually use the thing in front of others. She needed the privacy of her office with a door she could lock securely. Her cheeks reddened much too fast and her ego bruised too easily for her to try and rid herself of her clumsiness in front of her fiancé. It was one thing just falling down the stairs in an innocent moment. It was another having your feet shocked out from underneath you.
It was a hassle, mayhap, but as she stumbled over a rock jutting up in the road, fell over, and scraped open her knee, Dora knew she was doing the right thing.
