It didn't occur to him what he'd said until after he already said it and his heart was doing somersaults in his chest in sheer panic, but he pushed the feeling away. This was no different than living with Percy when he was on the mend and couldn't fend for himself. It definitely wasn't the same as actually moving in with him. This wasn't a relationship, nothing he'd mess up.
