Imogen frowned. “I remember water, and I remember drinking. And…I think I had fun? Which is strange, I wasn’t…” She cleared her throat. She hadn’t started out having fun, but she didn’t want to share that with him. Bad enough he saw her mostly out of her mind with alcohol. R’ger was a very smart man, eh could probably discern the cause of the drinking. What had she and Kenzie been doing in the lake? They must have been very far gone. “We had a bath? I’m sorry. I really didn’t go to Kenzie’s room expecting you to have to clean, feed, and put me to bed at the end of the night like a child.”
She set her mug away from her and stood, hands on the table until she was sure she was steady. Thankfully the alcohol was working its way out of her system; there would be no carry-over drunkenness this morning. She set a light hand on the wall for balance and made her way towards the pile.
