"Lyrra will be fine. Just poke at her until she gets annoyed and stubborn and don't let her feel too guilty, and she'll be just fine," Kenzie mused, but was clearly distracted. She was thinking about her blue rider, alone in his weyr. Alone, when he should have been with her. Brooding, when he should have been letting her help him. She should have heard from him, not her brother, about what had happened.
But there was nothing Fen could do about that. He would see her tomorrow, she told herself again firmly. K'rin would not shove her so far away; he cared about her. "No... he would just be angry at the interruption. He doesn't want company, he's been very clear." Part of her wanted to say yes. Part of her was inclined to just make her own way up there and make him deal with her like the troublesome, pushy woman she was... but just this once, she would hold back. She would try and give him space.
He would come back to her. She was sure.
"You should get back to Lyrra before she wakes up. Just drop me back in the bowl. I'll get back to my room."
