There were a number of expressions that Kenzie cycled through, none of them particularly high on Fen's list of favorites. There was open interest, when she talked about he and Lyrra being together... and then deep concern and then shock quickly after, when he told her about the green rider losing it and going after T'sga. Kenzie blinked several times there, trying to imagine Lyrra going after anyone, and just couldn't. She was always so together, and... no, maybe Fen, but not Lyrra.
And then absolute disbelief, when he followed this up with the fact that A'ver had actually demoted K'rin for the incident. Or, most likely, for the blue rider's response. She had seen him after the last dressing-down, how tense and tightly-wound he had been. She knew how much K'rin hated A'ver, how little respect he had for the man and the complete lack of standard that he held S'bor to. Being the girl in his bed most nights was a good way to knowing a lot of things, and Kenzie thought she knew just how the blue rider had received his demotion. Her brows drew together, her expression turning thoughtful and worried.
"He should have come to me," she murmured. Valoth had taken her to him, before... he had tried not to go to her that time, either. Maybe he really didn't want her there, if he had tried twice... it just hadn't taken, the first time. "He'll see me tomorrow," she said finally, although she didn't look any less worried. "I'm sure that he's just trying to get himself together first." Kenzie looked back at her brother, and attempted to force a game little smile. "You're still a sharding featherhead."
