Long Time Coming [ November 25th, 2011 @ 8:52pm ] vmod Previously on behindthevelvet... The Ministry held a Masquerade Ball to bring together witches and wizards and restore order after important members of the community go missing under the guise of ministry activities. This peace lasts for a few years, but anyone truly paying attention would've noticed the cracks in the foundation. Now... On November 24th, 2005, Voldemort and his Death Eaters officially took over the Ministry. All muggleborn witches and wizards are forced to flee from their respective jobs and homes. The Order of the Phoenix is forced to go into hiding for fear of persecution. All acting heads of departments within the Ministry are replaced with Death Eaters. The Muggleborn Registration Commission is started with its acting leader being Dolores Umbridge. Furthermore, the Defense of Magical Marriage Act is spearheaded by Delia Travers, who sees to it that all marriages are between witches and wizards of the proper lineage. Anyone involved with or married to a muggleborn is assigned a new partner and has a deadline to annul their previous marriage so they may marry they're new mate. The new Ministry has also seen to it that all Quidditch teams are made up of halfblooded or fullblooded witches and wizards, anyone else will be banned from their teams.
