Episode 1x05: Free Fall

A beautiful young woman, Felicia Martins, throws herself to her death, only to revive with the realization that she is an Immortal. She seeks out Duncan MacLeod as her mentor, and becomes amorously involved with Richie Ryan. But there is much more to this "ingénue" than meets the eye. She is in fact a long-time Immortal, engaged in a wily scheme to trap MacLeod and acquire his Quickening. MacLeod must see through her subterfuge in time to protect not only himself, but also Richie.

My Observations: This episode literally stop me from updating this journal. Seriously, every time I tried to write about it became worse and worse to watch. The first time was cool because of Joan Jett and after a couple runs Joan Jett should never act again. God! she was horrible. But I won't put this all upon her head because this episode was just blahhhhhh. But in perspective Felicia Martins is also introduced as the female immortal (evil) to the series. This time I sat down after many months and said just get to it. I did. There might be tense, discrepancies changes since there was a break between last year and me actually finishing this episode.

Where's Joe: Hmm. My one fun thing to do until Joe is officially introduced. Joe was in the crowd at the sword auction with Tessa and Duncan. You know I checked with the watcher's section and there wasn't any watcher on Felicia and Claude so I am giving them, Laure and John. Laure's car was the one Felicia dropped on "062-brh" licensed red caddy. John's car was behind Claude in the beige hatchback. :)

Ah, Richie meets the mysterious woman but she went looking for the place, wonder why? Doofus, "The Highlander" she probably in trouble and needs his help. ...


She left and what??? She goes into a building with lingirie. Am I to believe she a little cookoo, I mean where is the dress. Though I notice in these pics is Mrs. Jett is buff, like man buff. ...


Oh, she went to the top floor to the roof. If she wanted to talk to someone why didn't she wait for Duncan, obviously she wanted him, right? Hell, Ritchie could do in a pinch. ...


Okay, must show because it is the fakest dummy falling off a building evar. But I couldn't help laughing. Sorry. ...


I must admit that this is a good body crashing into car scene. Still, poor her. You should have waited, but I guess she wanted to die. Must be a plot point though, otherwise why spend money on Joan Jett. ...


She still alive, now we know what she isn't. Dead, but Immortal. Moving along plot. ...


Ah!, now we know who is the mystery driver of the nice black car but who is really, plot is expanded. Nice hair though. ...


Ah the detective is asking about the mystery woman. (Can't remember now if she gave her name up yet but we are calling her Felicia from now on.) She had Ritchie's card. ...


Well, we don't know who he is but he is obviously the problem the Felicia is running away from. And he brought a sword to the morgue, must we deduce that he is an Immortal too? Most people would confirm a death with their eyes but not him. ...


There she is, she came back to the antique store. You know if she just stayed there everything would be fine. ...


Again, love Tessa and her good advice but when did you know a young man ever did his thinking with his the brain above his neck when a beautiful woman in the vicinity. ...


He felt her presence. Yet she didn't. She won't last long in this world. ...


He talking to her about being an Immortal. Aww. He's in his teaching mode. ...


Okay, didn't anybody find it odd that she would know about that map being fake? ...


Well, la di da, she's a damn liar. She way older then she's pretending. What the hell, I need to revise my plot. ...


Ah, mystery man is back and threating Ritchie,not very subtle either. But the plot seems to be moving. Too bad I am bored to care. ...


Felicia knows who the mystery man is. I guess it the man of whose family she killed in flashback. I figured that much. ...


Too bad Duncan doesn't know about her yet, so he is teaching her sword skills to survive. ...


Not a fast learner is she and considering what she is, that's pathetic. Maybe it is a trap? ...


Just more detail of Felicia looking at the photo and know we know it is the man looking for her. ...

Remember when I said this episode wasn't all her fault, put some blame on the costume designer as well. What the hell were they thinking. ...


She back after her kill and seduces Ritchie, did I tell you I don't care anymore. ...


Ah! Duncan took Felicia's advice and checked the map and indeed is fake, so will Duncan's brain cells figure it out? ...


Felicia doing that "run away with me" thing and Ritchie is so "how fast are we getting there" Idiot. ...
