I can't be the only one in this community writing BBM or Jake/Heath. Come on folks, post your drabble, fic, discussion point, pictures, anything relating to Brokeback Mountain. With the sad passing of Heath, it's still okay to write stories about him, help keep the memories of him alive.

Heath Ledger is gone from us. I can't find the words to express my sorrow and sadness for the sudden death of this amazing actor who had just begun to shine starting with his wonderful portrayal as Ennis del Mar.

According to the news on TMZ, Heath Ledger apparently had been ill with pneumonia when he passed away.   The idea that he may had committed suicide is unbearable and I refuse to buy in this theory without proof.   He was young, had a full life ahead of him, and a career that was getting better with better choices in role offers.  He adored his daughter, Matilda.   I have to believe the cause of his death was either accidental or by natural causes.  

May he rest in peace.

Hey all,

I’m so glad to see interest in Brokeback Mountain. I love the story by Annie Proulx, and the movie. Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal portrayal as Ennis del Mar and Jack Twist will forever be imprinted in my mind and heart. Heath and Jake are made of so much win.

I’m still working out the details for the community. I was thinking about setting up a table, similar to LJ Fanfic 100 with prompts relating to the fandom. It will help us get our muses started for writing stories.

In the meantime, jump in and start a discussion and/or post fiction. If you have previously written BBM stories, feel free to post here. Be sure to post stories behind a LJ cut, and provide the usual labeling. Also, no flaming. We’re all grownups, right. :-)
