Our band made a CD of our show music and some stand tunes. I thought it freakn' ROCKED. When I get a copy of it, I'm so posting some of the songs here! Holy crap I'm so excited to get it! It was really weird though... The experience of recording a CD. We had to get it PERFECT that ONE time or else we'd have to do it all over again. That was the part that sucked! What we were mostly picky on was the show music. If we jacked any of that up, I would have cried. OH!! And we played this one piece PERFECT, but sadly someone's cellphone went off RIGHT AT THE MOMENT WE ENDED IT! I WAS SO PEEVED!! We did it again, but it wasn't the same... Not the same... *frown*

I don't know when the copy comes in, but I'll post the songs if anyone's interested.

In our Clarinet section, there are three section leaders. Their names are Alan (Head Section Leader), Adrian (Co-Section Leader), and Penny (Third Co-Section Leader). Anyway, they're all nice people... out of Band (except Adrian-- he's cool all the time).

You see, last year, our section leader was Penny. She was horrible and wasn't that supportive in anything. I mean, she'd put us down instead of giving constructive critism... For example: "Lina, you're doing this all wrong! We're all going to screw up because of YOU!!" She'd say that to everyone. Many times I've wanted to quit, but I didn't. By doing so I'd show that I'd be letting her win. Also, one time I stayed with a friend after school because she was 'supposedly' going to help the students who needed help with their audition music. Well, she sucked. We didn't learn anything and we decided to leave early.

This year, she still tries to be Head Section Leader. The other two get annoyed sometimes, but she is such a hypocrite!! When we mess up, she blames it on us and says we need to 'adjust', right? Well, when Alan tells her to do it, she complains and is like "Well, sorry, I go here." IDIOT! It makes me want to go insane.

Adrian is going to talk to her I think... I'm really worried because Penny can be such a fool. ARGH. I can't stand her anymore!! She almost drove me into madness during the Tuesday Night Rehearsal last night.

Okay, this was a rant of one person in my section. I don't mean to be rude or target her, but it's SOOO freakn' annoying having this feeling inside of me. I just had to let it out (even though I did a little more in my journal that night).

Our theme for band this year happens to be music all from the group called Tower of Power. I really think this might be our best one, but the steps are so crazy and with around 150 band members... It's going to be heck to get it right the first few times. It really sucked too because we didn't have the second song in the show AT ALL. I mean, neither the sheet music or the drill!! Apparently it's out of print and we had to make copies of them. It was sent as rush delivery and now we finally have it. Even the drill... You know what's weird though? We have to make a form of a HEART. WHY?!? It's one of those cutsey hearts too... *shivers*. I mean, why? It's just so weird. Oh well though... The show must go on.

Oh yeah, I wanted to comment on those color bars... They're awesome. May I use one?? Like, the Marching Band is Love one? Please? I will credit whoever made it.
